Amy Beekman is a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Special and Elementary Education from Seton Hall University. She has been teaching children with autism and other disabilities in a self contained classroom since 2001. During this time, Amy developed ABA programs, created IEPs using the ABLLS, provided staff training, conducted functional assessments and implemented behavior intervention plans.
Amy has provided consultation services to home programs through hands-on coaching. She trains the learner’s family on ways to implement the most effective teaching procedures and manage problem behaviors.
Currently, Amy provides consulting services to various public school settings where she focuses on teaching functional communication skills and assists teachers in implementing strategies to manage problem behaviors.
